BMW is recalling nearly 4,000 vehicles to replace Takata airbag inflators at risk of exploding and sending sharp metal fragments into occupants.
Recalled are 2000-2002 BMW 325i, 325xi, 323Ci, 325Ci and BMW 330Ci convertible vehicles equipped with driver's airbag modules which contain the dangerous inflators.
The Takata airbag recall is expected to begin November 25, 2019.
