General Motors is recalling 120 model year 2019 Chevrolet Equinox and GMC Terrain SUVs in the U.S. and another 24 in Canada to fix problems with welds on the head restraint brackets.
The automaker says faulty welds on the rear right seat head restraints may not hold during crash impacts, increasing the injury risk to occupants.
Chevy and GMC dealers will replace the seatback frames when the recall begins in the U.S. April 15, 2019.
U.S. owners of 2019 Chevrolet Equinox and GMC Terrain SUVs may call GM at 800-462-8782 while Canadian customers may call 800-263-3777.
GM's number for this recall is N192209550.
