Bugatti Chiron Recalled: Flying Doctors to the Rescue

Bugatti is recalling 47 model year 2017-2018 Chiron cars because driving with loose front seats at 260 mph could be dangerous.

The automaker says the front seat recliner brackets may not be welded properly, which can cause the back of the seats to move around when they shouldn't.

The $2.8 million cars can hit about 125 mph in less than 6.5 seconds, but don't think you can simply hit the highway and go as fast as you want because the Chiron has software that limits the top speed to about 260 mph.

The Bugatti Chiron recall begins December 11, 2017. The 47 affected Bugatti Chiron owners will receive letters, phone calls and emails from the automaker to set up appointments with the "Flying Doctors" who will visit each owner to inspect both car seats to make sure they are welded correctly.

Any bad welds will cause the seat assemblies to be replaced.

Owners who have concerns should contact Bugatti at 805-557-1050.
